You chose the winners!

175 applicants from five continents submitted their projects when applications opened on Earth Day. 70 met the application criteria. The development experts of the WAFA Selection Committee created a shortlist of nine applicants – all of them amazing!

And then you had the final say! For the first time, the global public was invited to vote online to select three winners. Check them out here! 

WAFA staff and film crew visited the winners on location in Denmark and India to present them with the Award and a monetary prize. The filmed visits will be used to show how every person has the potential to create positive change.

Tellspec – Denmark

Tellspec was honored at an event hosted by Agro Food Park in Aarhus, Denmark. Now participating in the Scale-Up Food Elite Training Center, Tellspec has moved its headquarters to Aarhus.

KJB Foundation and Nishant Bioenergy – India

WAFA staff and film crew traveled to Chandigarh to honor Nishant Bioenergy, then traveled to Nagpur to honor the Kamalnayan Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation (KJBF). The ceremonies were combined with field visits to their groundbreaking projects.
