Across the globe ordinary people are doing extraordinary things to make their communities more sustainable by improving access to clean water, air, and food. But, in many cases, there’s no recognition for their efforts. That’s why the Water, Air, and Food Awards (WAFA) were created.
Not only does WAFA shine a light on the work our silent heroes are doing, we also provide resources that extend the reach of their projects and their impact on the planet.
A Message from Our CEO Tina Lindgreen
Last week, WAFA Executive Chairperson and CEO Tina Lindgreen took some time to reintroduce WAFA to the global community. In her message, Tina shared a few words about the impactful changes our silent heroes are making around the world.
“Our goal is to inspire the good in people,” says Tina. Since 2008, WAFA has amplified the voices of silent heroes whose work reminds us that positive change is within reach, one community at a time.
Read Tina’s post to learn how WAFA honors remarkable achievements in water, air, food, and climate action globally.
