The climate, healthy water, air, and food are fundamental for all 8 billion of us on this earth. Youth Climate, Water, Air and Food Awards (WAFA) sources and promotes breakthrough solutions to these challenges: low-tech, high impact, locally driven and globally scalable. Since we started on this mission, we have received 480 applications from around the world. An international expert committee evaluated nominees according to sustainability criteria. Based on their recommendations, WAFA posts a shortlist of qualifying projects and invites the global public to vote for them. The winning projects are honored during WAFA Awards ceremonies.
